Starting Your Own Business: From Conception to Success

Hi, my name is Teilee, and I have had great business ideas for my entire life. Sadly, as a kid, I could not start the businesses I imagined, so I made that a priority as I got older. Over the years of launching several small businesses, I learned how to take an idea from conception to reality. I learned about funding, advertising, marketing, branding and client relationships. I want to use this blog as a creative and professional outlet for all of the information I have collected over the years. If you are a budding entrepreneur or even someone who has already launched a company, you have come to the right spot. Feel free to explore, and I hope you enjoy my blog!

5 Reasons to Add Exterior Roller Blinds to Your Home

Roller blinds come in a range of styles and colours. Some are designed to allow through filtered light, while others can block out the sun. If you aren't sure whether you need roller blinds, then it's time to consider the benefits.

1. Reduce Energy Bills

Installing exterior roller blinds on the windows that face the in the direction that receives the most sun is a quick way to reduce your summer energy bills. Roller blinds can deflect sunlight and heat away while adding a bit of insulation over windows, all without compromising the look of your home's interior decorating. Energy savings can be excellent when the blinds are paired with insulated windows.

2. Versatile Use Options

Outdoor blinds can be installed either over the exterior windows of your home, or you can use them to create walls around a patio or verandah. The benefit of using roller blinds instead of installing latticework or erecting another sort of permanent wall is that the blinds aren't fixed in place. You can raise and lower them as desired so you have the option of a closed space or an open space.

3. Provide Additional Privacy

Privacy can be an issue for some homes. If you face out on a busy street or sidewalk, for example, you may want to protect your windows from curious eyes. Or, perhaps you just want to be able to enjoy your outdoor space in peace, but a nosy neighbour is always peering over the garden wall. Adding roller blinds provides a privacy option that is also attractive. When the need passes, the blinds can be raised out of sight.

4. Hands-Free Operation

Traditional roller blinds are operated manually. Either you can pull them up and down to the desired location or they are operated with strings that are pulled. There are now modern versions that are completely motorised, getting rid of cumbersome strings and completely simplifying operation. Motorised roller blinds can be installed high overhead if need be since you don't have to worry about reaching them. It's also possible to operate outdoor blinds without ever stepping foot out the front door.

5. Needed Weather Protection

A bit of breeze or light rain doesn't mean you need to spend a day sitting inside. With roller blinds installed around the verandah you will be able to sit outside with protection from the elements. You don't even have to completely enclose the area since you can just lower those roller blinds on the side of the space that is getting the wind or rain blow in.
